 | 'Healthy Ambitions Suffolk' Launched
The Port is championing a new health initiative launched by NHS Suffolk. ‘Healthy Ambitions’ is a 20-year vision to make Suffolk the healthiest county in England, focussing on children, older people and the workplace.
The scheme encourages organisations to work proactively to improve the health and well-being of their employees, and also provides support to those that are aspiring to do so.
The Port was chosen because of the excellent facilities it provides to all employees through the Occupational Health Centre and its dedicated team of highly-skilled health professionals.
Simon Farmer, Port of Felixstowe Firefighter/Paramedic, features on the cover of the first ‘Healthy Ambitions Suffolk’ brochure, which was issued at the scheme's launch at Trinity Park on 5th December 2008.
